FINALLY: New Hyperhidrosis Treatment FDA-Approved

For the first time since 2004 when Botox® was FDA-approved for the treatment of underarm hyperhidrosis and 2011 when the miraDry® medical device was FDA-cleared, the regulatory body has sanctioned a new treatment for excessive sweating. Medicine-infused Qbrexza™ “cloths” (from the biopharmaceutical company Dermira, Inc.) deliver an anticholinergic formulation to the sweat glands of the underarms to inhibit sweat production.
