National survey shows that nearly 1 in 5 teens suffers from excessive sweating

Hyperhidrosis is common and impactful among teens according to International Hyperhidrosis Society research presented at the recent American Academy of Dermatology’s Annual Meeting. In fact, 17% of teens say they experience excessive, uncontrollable sweating – that’s nearly 1 in 5 teens and SEVEN TIMES MORE than previous estimates, which put the number at just 1.6% to 2.1%! We may look back and say 2016 was the year we all realized just how common hyperhidrosis and multifocal hyperhidrosis really is!
