Hyperhidrosis Awareness Month 2018: Here’s What We Achieved

The second annual Hyperhidrosis Awareness Month (HhAM) in November 2018 may be over but the groundwork we’ve laid, with your help, is going to help make a difference for years to come. FINALLY: New Hyperhidrosis Treatment FDA-Approved

For the first time since 2004 when Botox® was FDA-approved for the treatment of underarm hyperhidrosis and 2011 when the miraDry® medical device was FDA-cleared, the regulatory body has sanctioned a new treatment for excessive sweating. Medicine-infused Qbrexza™ “cloths” (from the biopharmaceutical company Dermira, Inc.) deliver an anticholinergic formulation to the sweat glands of the underarms to inhibit sweat production. Find out whether this is a good option for you!

Hyperhidrosis Pain is More than Skin Deep. Be the Difference with Mental Health First Aid

We’re fighting to help prevent suicide and encouraging our community members to join us in taking a Mental Health First Aid course. It is our responsibility to be better prepared to help one another, and ourselves. Too often, the pain of hyperhidrosis runs beyond skin deep. Join us in recognizing and addressing the mental health impacts of excessive sweating so we can remove the stigma and improve physical and emotional wellness for our community and beyond.
