Social Media for Hyperhidrosis Awareness Month

Get Social

Throughout Hyperhidrosis Awareness Month the International Hyperhidrosis Society will be using our global social media channels to spread the news that hyperhidrosis is common, that we're here to bring together and support sufferers, and that the condition is serious and deserves treatment, study and understanding.

You can help from your side of the screen by liking, following, sharing, and commenting on our Facebook pageTwitter feed and Instagram. We also encourage you to also create your own status updates, tweets and images to increase hyperhidrosis awareness.

Here's the Best Part - You Could be Awarded a #KnowSweatGiftBox for Facebook Activity

Every Monday during Hyperhidrosis Awareness Month we will post a #iCanRelate challenge on Facebook.

Then, every Friday in November, we'll award a curated #KnowSweatGiftBox (valued at over $500!) to the person who writes the most "relatable" Facebook comment! See a post you relate to or just really, really like -- be sure to comment on it and share it. We'll be counting each Facebook like/love/share/etc. as a vote. All positive engagement is welcome, encouraged and tallied.

The first #iCanRelate challenge is Monday, November 5th.  Don't wait, find us on Facebook and get ready.

Gift boxes will be mailed worldwide in December – just in time for the holidays.

#KnowSweatGiftBoxes are made possible by innovators who design with hyperhidrosis in mind. These donors are so excited to particpate in this hyperhidrosis awareness-building social media campaign.

We know it's going to be memorable, interactive, supportive, and insightful. So go ahead, show us your posts, pics, shares, and creativity.

All winners must be subscribed to our News Blog. You can sign up now to stay up-to-date on treatment options, new clinical research trials, continuing medical education events, and receive expert advice straight to your inbox.

Community Guidelines for Our Social Media and Beyond

We are glad you are interested in interacting with us and others in regard to the medical condition hyperhidrosis and related topics. As you do so, please keep in mind the following community guidelines.

Feedback, comments, posts, and all other interchanges should be respectful, honest, polite, and non-dismissive. Intentionally misleading or false information is not allowed. Remember that no two people or their experiences are the same, and that listening, kindness and civil interactions are paramount.

Community members shall not post or upload any information or other content that is false; obscene or indecent; infringes any copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret or other proprietary rights or rights of publicity or privacy of any party; or is defamatory, libelous, threatening, abusive, hateful or contains pornography.

Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding your health. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read either on the IHhS website, on IHhS social media or in emails from IHhS, etc.

If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your doctor or 911 immediately.

IHhS reserves the right to halt the participation of an individual who is deemed to be violating these community guidelines. Actions taken will include, but are not limited to, blocking an individual from the conversation on our social media platforms and removing an individual from our subscriptions.
