Throughout Hyperhidrosis Awareness Month 2018 the International Hyperhidrosis Society used global social media channels to spread the news that hyperhidrosis is common, that we're here to bring together and support sufferers, and that the condition is serious and deserves treatment, study and understanding. 

You can always help from your side of the screen by liking, following, sharing, and commenting on our Facebook pageTwitter feed and Instagram. We also encourage you to also create your own status updates, tweets and images to increase hyperhidrosis awareness.

We Awarded #KnowSweatGiftBoxes for Facebook Activity

Every Monday during Hyperhidrosis Awareness Month 2018 we posted a #iCanRelate challenge on Facebook.

Then, every Friday in November 2018 we awarded a curated #KnowSweatGiftBox (valued at over $700!) to the person who wrote the most "relatable" Facebook comment! All positive engagement was welcomed, encouraged and tallied.

Gift boxes were mailed worldwide in December – just in time for the holidays.

#KnowSweatGiftBoxes were made possible by innovators who design with hyperhidrosis in mind. These donors were so excited to particpate in this IHhS hyperhidrosis awareness-building social media campaign.

Community Guidelines for Our Social Media and Beyond

We are glad you are interested in interacting with us and others in regard to the medical condition hyperhidrosis and related topics. As you do so, please keep in mind the following community guidelines.

Feedback, comments, posts, and all other interchanges should be respectful, honest, polite, and non-dismissive. Intentionally misleading or false information is not allowed. Remember that no two people or their experiences are the same, and that listening, kindness and civil interactions are paramount.

Community members shall not post or upload any information or other content that is false; obscene or indecent; infringes any copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret or other proprietary rights or rights of publicity or privacy of any party; or is defamatory, libelous, threatening, abusive, hateful or contains pornography.

Community members shall not interfere with others’ use and enjoyment of International Hyperhidrosis Society (IHhS) platforms (for example, by harassing, threatening, soliciting, overly promoting personal interests, or stalking another participant, including the use of expressions of bigotry, racism, hatred or profanity).

Members may not use IHhS platforms to conduct any activity that is illegal or violates the rights of others, provides instructional information about illegal activities or promotes physical harm or injury against any group or individual.

All of the material provided by IHhS, and shared on our platforms, is for informational purposes only, and is not a substitute for professional medical advice or treatment.
