November is Hyperhidrosis Awareness Month: Let's Spread the Word!
November is Hyperhidrosis Awareness Month a time to bring attention to a condition affecting nearly 5% of the global population. For those living with hyperhidrosis, excessive sweating can greatly impact daily life, confidence and emotional well-being.
At the International Hyperhidrosis Society, we’re encouraging everyone—whether you’re affected by hyperhidrosis, know a loved one who is, or are a healthcare professional—to help raise awareness by telling just one person about the condition. By sharing, we can break the stigma and foster understanding.
How You Can Help
Join our +1 campaign by using these conversation starters:
1. “Have you heard about hyperhidrosis?”
Open the conversation by introducing the term to someone new.
2. “Did you know excessive sweating can impact daily life?”
Share how the condition goes beyond normal sweating and affects well-being.
3. “Did you know hyperhidrosis is more common than peanut allergies, psoriasis and melanoma? And that it starts in childhood or adolescence?”
Encourage a discussion about empathy and solutions for those affected.
Get Involved
This November, let’s work together to change perceptions about hyperhidrosis. A single conversation can make a big difference!
